Hypogonadism can sometimes develop later in life, especially in men who are overweight or have type 2 diabetes. The signs of hypogonadism will be different depending on your age when it develops.
Common signs in adult men include:
- Tiredness.
- Hot flashes.
- Low sex drive.
- Problems getting and keeping an erection (erectile dysfunction).
- Mood changes.
- Difficulty concentrating.
- Problems sleeping.
- Loss of muscle mass.
- Lower bone strength or density.
- Enlarged breasts.
- Loss of body hair.
- Infertility (not being able to have children).
